Second, some kids may see that plan and still not like, for example, that there is a dentist appointment today. However, by posting that plan from the start of the day, that child has a long time to get used to, or "cope' with this news. Sometimes kids need this time to get used to a disappointing idea. On the other hand, if you wait until it's time to leave, it is quite possible that child has a meltdown.
