Inserts measure at 13 by 5 in width. Can be used in both our pocket & cover diapers. Can be used individually, or can be doubled up for heavy wetters/overnight use. Our newly designed inserts for our Toddler Diapers are 6.3" wide x 15" long & give extra coverage than our standard insert. Prefolds measure at 13" length & 15" in width when laying flat & can fold into thirds. When folded, they measures at 13" in length and 5" in width. This gives more layers & more protection against leaks. Prefolds can be used in Pocket or Diaper covers & are great for heavy wetters/ overnight use. Our inserts are 5 wide x 13 long & fit inside all our diapers & most other standard cloth diapers from other brands. Insert works in our baby pocket diaper to grow with your baby from 10-35lbs. How Do I Prep The Inserts? Prepping cloth diapers & inserts opens up fibres to ensure adequate absorbency. Insert prep is a first simple step. Put your new inserts through 3- 4 regular wash cycles (using a cloth diaper safe detergent) No need to dry in between washes! What Do I Do If My Inserts Are Leaking? If you are experiencing leaks please check if you have the right fit. You can also try using extra inserts for extra absorbency. You may also be experiencing mineral build up from hard water. What are signs that I may have build-up on my inserts? If you are experiencing absorbency issues, and/or an odor, you may have a build-up on your cloth diapers. This can be caused by hard water, detergents, or diaper creams that are not safe for cloth diapers, ointments, oils, etc. Why does prepping cloth diapers require multiple washes? This is an initial step that should be taken to rinse away any natural oils found on fabrics. Prepping cloth diapers also opens up fibres to ensure adequate absorbency. What should I look for in a cloth diaper safe detergent? When choosing a laundry detergent for cloth diapers, look for high cleaning power while avoiding fragrances and perfumes, dyes, optical brighteners and bleach. Avoid harsh enzymes if your baby has sensitive skin.
